Bushnell's work differently than a Stalker. They give min and max readings. If the min and max are the same (likely case for 10 mph variance), that means it was pointed at the plate, or it was too far away, or the batteries were dead, or... Smile. If there's an 8-10 mph difference, the max reading will be good. Having said that, they still are 2-3 mph slower than Stalker.

If you have the extra $900, get a Stalker.
