Reason to do, or not do a PG showcase after NLI?

Our son has never done a PG event and keeps getting invites. I think I already know the answer, but is there any reason to do one at this point? He is also in the middle of basketball season and not in baseball showcase mode. If anything, someone else may be wondering the same thing.
