The first offer came from the head coach on the phone after about six months of talking on the phone regularly and a pretty good camp. They told him to take as long as he needed to decide. Was talking to several schools over the summer and a few told him "We want to make you an offer", let us know when you are ready to make your decision. When he had narrowed it down to 3, he told the schools he was ready and they put the offer on the table. At that point it was understood that he would either accept or decline within a week. Was interesting to see how different the process was with different schools. Sounds like the norm is for the schools to not have offers hanging out on the table for very long, which makes sense to me.
