I would hate to speak for the coach, but I'll take a stab at what he is referencing:

*Solid, clean, smooth fundamentals and fluid 'actions' that flow seamlessly into natural playmaking ability*

Polished = move in ready, makes it look easy, etc.

Not Polished = needs work
