Hopperhop, you mention that the other 2 schools are quite a bit closer to where you live. If this is the case, I would make every effort to visit those schools before you make your official visit to the first school. Take your son out of school, if necessary, to do so. (Actually, this would be preferable, so he could see the campus on a day when class is in session.) Then, by the time you make your official visit, he'll be able to compare all the programs and know what his options are. Best wishes!
