None of this catcher talk surprises me, the athleticism needed to catch rivals that of a good shortstop or CF. The problem a lot of catchers run into are tired legs that affect their ability to hit consistently. If you find a catcher that can rake, they often are moved because their bat is more valuable than their defense behind the plate. Many coaches are willing to “get by” with a second-ranked catcher with decent defensive skills and so-so bat in order to move that catcher who can rake and maximize the offense.
