) JustBaseball - happy to oblige. Bay area sports coverage of college baseball is typically poor, particularly in the early season, although I would like to try and change that. Anyone want to help me launch a grass roots campaign in that direction? I would be curious to know how the other California teams are doing. I did hear that Stanford won today, as did Cal (with another freshman hitting highlight as Chris Errecart hit a grand slam in the first inning today). I wasn't at the game so can't give you the play by play.
I can also report that although UC-Riverside dropped their first game today against Santa Clara (6-2), starting pitcher AJ Shappi pitched a solid six innings, allowing only one run on six hits and 0 walks. Should be a great weekend of California baseball!
