I am not a doctor but know more than I might like about labrum issues in the shoulder. Never heard that full ROM rules out labrum issues and would doubt that is true. The labrum very much involves stability. In Milb, the medical exams actually document testing for the labrum and it is not full ROM.

Hopefully the issue is not related to the labrum and this comment by the doctor is totally irrelevant.
