I would say that my sons national exposure came directly from playing on a competitive travel team, the Upper Deck Cougars; the fact that we went across the nation to play competitive tournaments; and, his appearances at national showcases, i.e., Team One; Perfect Game; Midwest Prospects; and, College Select. The exposure at these showcases, I would suggest, resulted in the number (s) of schools calling after July 1st.

He did not attend a single college camp and wasn't interested in attending any camps, although he was invited and did attend the Stanford All Star camp.

College camps are good, I agree, if that is the only college you are considering. I seriously doubt that there were many (if any) other college coaches at the FSU camp.
