SLAP tear Catcher

I have a son who's an above average 2018 Catcher. He had some shoulder issues during his JV (winter) tryouts going into his freshman year. He had an MRI and was told the Labrum was fine and muscle instability was cause of pain. He went through PT and a throwing program and made the Varsity (spring) team that year. In my opinion he never really got back 100% and his velocity never did come back to the level before his injury. He got back to throwing with no pain and recently started having pain again in the same location. I took him to another Ortho and had a arthogram  and MRI done with contrast. It was found that he has a SLAP tear in his throwing shoulder. The Ortho does not feel surgery is needed at this time or for the extent of the tear. I've been combing through whatever information I could find here and on AMSI about this injury. Any and all information or recommendations you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
