Slap tears seem to be complex with varying locations and degrees of severity. I second the "right doc" direction. Someone who really understands the baseball player and throwing issues needs to be involved. Of course this is further complicated with a C or P.

If surgery is deemed necessary, post again... there are many here who can provide detail with what to expect.
