I pretty much realized my son's skills and ability exceeded my knowledge of the game when he was 15 and stopped trying to coach him then. Felt pretty good about things

until I learned others thought his skills exceeded my knowledge of the game...a couple years earlier.

Luckily I didn't inflict too much harm and he has overcome most of the bad information.
