In a meeting of two of the top academic powerhouses in the state it was Whitney Young over Northside Prep 10-0 this afternoon. The game was played in the shadow of the Sears Tower on the West Loop campus of Whitney Young.

The winning pitcher was Kurt Rodder (Class of 2009).

A Home Run and a Triple by Dai Bowden (1 RBI) and two Triples (3-RBI) came off the bat of the Freshman Catcher Steven Giannon. Gabe Henriques connected for a Triple and Nate Kamin had two singles (1 RBI); Eli Boyer - Single (1 RBI); Eienbohn - Single (1 RBI).
