Don't play 18U until after graduation. Scouts do not show up for 18U tournaments/showcases. 18U teams are normally made up of guys who have graduated from HS already so coaches don't go. He needs to play 16U tournaments. Is he on a top level tournament team in the area, which there are a lot?
