Lynn you are absolutely right. And in these days you not only look for the coach to treat the kids with respect, but build a realtionship off the field where they feel comfortable talking to the coach about life and personal isssues. I have never seen this in high school baseball...All the coaches in sports usually are the eyes and ears for their student athelete. And as a parent it makes me feel great that they are watching them on and off the field...These relationships show in the sports and get results. Not spitting and cursing. My kid would probably respond just the opposite.....
