Just to make clear what I meant, I took the time to respond to the post. Trying to make VM understand that we understand that helicopter parents exists, but most folks here are so to try tout make sense of the process so as to guide their children, not make their decisions.
FWIW, I believe that most HS students, male and female, who want to go to college do so because they have career goals, not just to go to party.
The best part of being involved in sports in college is because if you don't get it done in the classroom, you won't play. I think that folks here have a clear understanding that college is very expensive, therefore they really need to help their player as much as they can and help them to find the best fit.
