Tryouts begin today! Not a lot of chatter here lately, but hoping maybe some of us could post what they know about various teams this year.
For example, it appears that James River is going to be loaded with high caliber pitching this year. Lefty Connelly Early and RHP Ryan Portes return with quality varsity experience. RHP Thomas Reilly is strong after missing last year with an injury. There are some quality younger arms as well, guys who would get tons of innings at some schools, but whether there'll be innings available for them on JR's varsity remains to be seen.
Expect Benedictine to remain strong as always. RHP Jack Anderson returns after being hindered by a broken wrist most of last year.
There is a strong nucleus of talent at Lee-Davis this year, too, led by strong hitter Carter Trice and UMass commit Brett Allen (returned to L-D from Benedictine this year).
