Any parents of players heading out to watch Spring Training? I was in Arizona last year and had a great time. It was pretty exciting seeing my son in that environment. I am all about enjoying the small things in life, every Blessing.
Not sure if we will head that way this year or not. Last year our guy was at Early ST, unfortunately due to injury stayed in extended ST so he was out there a while last year. This season we are hoping for a briefer, but more productive outing!
I drove out with my middle son, the proverbial "Road Trip"! We were able to see some baseball, and make sure that my older son had plenty of steaks to eat at Outback each night. On the way home we went to the Grand Canyon which was amazing, and saw a lot of interesting landscapes, not much of the color "Green" but the red rocks were spectacular and the sharp Lava Ash along the highway in Northern New Mexico was amazing. Very different from Florida or the East Coast. It was surprising how much colder it was in Northern Arizona compared to the Phoenix area!
This year we may just save our money and see him after he gets assigned to a team, probably Kannapolis NC.
