Squeezing recruiting timeline

My son is a junior in HS and this is his 2nd year at starting in CF and pitching on the varsity level. I had trouble getting him interested in showcasing last fall. I am hearing that he still has plenty of time and that he can showcase this coming fall of his senior year. I have read the threads of those that don't hear anything into their senior year, but I don't want to wait too late. I am looking at having him do at least the Best in Virginia summer showcase/camp (and play Amer. Legion)and be on a showcase team this fall to do 4-6 showcases. Is this enough? I read the recruiting timeline and I feel that he is behind schedule quite a bit from that suggested. Thanks for any suggestions!
