Tim Robertson:

I think you and your son need to have a serious talk very soon but at least before these decisions are made about showcase v legion v travel team, etc. Dopn't panic and rush into something without knowing deep down what your son wants to do. Certain questions might help in obtaining your son's true ambition and desire.

Questions like: 1) Son, do you want to go to college? 2) Do you have any idea what you would like to do after college? 3) OK, but what if you don't get drafted by a MLB baseball team after you senior year, what do you want to do then? 4) Where would you like to go to school, close by or far away, south or north, west or east, does not matter???? 5) What kind of a coach do you want to play for, all bussiness, some fun, lots of fun??? 6) Do you want to pitch and play centerfield or do you prefer one over the other?

There are many other questions you might think of to ask your son. The answer to these and other questions should be a strong determining factor in where you go from there. Read some of the other threads on the Recuriting Site and learn. Then take action once you and your son together have decided the best direction to take for him.

Welcome to the journey and best of luck.
