Sophomore 3rd baseman Mike Stancik had a career day, going 3 for 4, hitting a double, triple and a grand slam home run for the Stone Bridge Bulldogs (7-4, 3-3), as they defeated the JEB Stuart Raiders, 20-1 in their final game of the South Lakes/Woodson Spring Break tournament. Stancik, who is hitting .556 on the season, had 4 RBI and scored 5 runs. After Chris Dzurilla knocked in the Bulldogs first run, David Ball followed with a 3 run shot to left center field enroute to a 6 run first inning. Jeron Gouveia, Niko Kolocuris and Dzurilla all collected 2 hits on the day.

Junior Cullen Koppens started on the mound. He went 3 innings, earning the victory in a game shortened by the 10 run rule. Senior Nick Crocoll saw his first action on the mound this season, pitching 2 no-hit innings while striking out 2.

The Bulldogs finish the Spring Break tournament with a 3-1 record (a game vs. Yorktown was rained out and will be played later in the season). Stone Bridge has two critical Liberty District games next week after Spring Break. On Tuesday, April 18 they travel to Reston to take on the second place South Lakes Seahawks. On Friday, April 21, they will host the district leader Madison Warhawks at 6:30PM.
