Baseball America, Mar 8th had a story on Strasberg. It asked the question, "How does a pitcher go from obscurity to the top of the draft? It offers the answer 1) hit 101mph, 2) outduel the first pitcher taken in last year's draft, 3) stike out 23 batters in a game.
As a HS senior Strasberg was touching 90mph, was 6-4 and 250lb. He dropped 30lb his first semester at SDSU and added 8 mph on his fb between his freshman and sophomore seasons at SDSU.
