Just applying NFHS rules here, but 8-4-1a requires that the batter intentionally interfere with the catcher's attempt to field the ball after a third strike. Notwithstanding the OBR rulings on this, the NFHS rule is explicit that it must be intentional. So in the OP it is stated that the contact is unintentional.
