Reply to "Successful pitchers in high school without a Curveball"

The thing is, if you learn to pitch without a curveball, it makes pitching with a curveball so much easier. You learn to adjust grips on fastballs to get more movement and play with different speeds, etc. Many pitchers rely on that 1-1, 1-2 curveball to get kids out on. If you haven't had that curveball before, you don't really look to go to it like some kids do. You only have to throw one or two an inning to get people to think about it, while still pitching your old curveball-less game that will be helped even more by hitters thinking about the deuce.
