Your assumption is correct. It is a bit more difficult for the DIII player. It varies for DIII programs. Some will be able to help you in the area of where the school is, or where their contacts are. You may have to find a team on your own and ask your coach for a recommendation or call, and you may have to find a independent type league if all else fails.
