I know that some of the pay leagues are local leagues and do not have host families such as here in central Ohio we have the OICBL:

Mostly local DIII, with some DII and a few D1 players who did not get placed by there team or needed to work in the summer so they could not make a big commitment. Try googling your region and college wood bat. There may be a league in your area.
