I guess his post was ironic. Tebow did ok considering he didn't play since he didn't play since freshman in HS but he never was a real prospect.

Also the new ownership is actually serious about winning and not just getting cheap marketing so he would have no chance to get called up as a PR stunt.

They probably would have let him hang out in the minors another season if wanted to but he probably got the signal that he wasn't really in the plans for the future and had no chance to ever make the majors.
