Ryan served as president last year--and by all accounts was a big success. Had at least a part in turning around pitching staff (with Mike Maddox) as well as setting a different tone for entire team. Area is pleased to see Ryan remain part of the team and to take Hicks out of the picture for the most part. Ryan has stated in interviews here that he will be responsible for the "baseball" side of the operations, while the new majority owner will handle the "business' side of the operations.

And yes, he is also now one of the "owners" (once approved), but no disclosure of what % he has.
