I am proud of any young man who receives an award for his accomplishments, but I do not understand how the coaches association, or the sports writers decide on how they arrive at the choices they make. I would only assume that the coach of the respective team has alot of weight as to who gets chosen. From what I have witnessed, it does not matter how well they perform on the field but just how close the parents are to the coach! From looking at the selections, at each classification, there are several key players who helped their teams tremendously, but yet received nothing! That is not a good way to build a unified team, all it does is brew hatred and discontent among the better players that are truly dedicated to givng their all, while the ones who did receive awards, just gloat, and loaf! Not a good situation, if a coach wants to win!
