Don't laugh at that one. I read in an article somewhere last year(wish I could find it) about high profile coaches texting high profile recruits right before the big game.
Think about it, highly recruited player settling in to watch the team on TV and whammo you get a text message from coach. Now that's impressive for a young recruit! It means I WANT you!
I learned that in Recruiting Psych 101.
