Wow, how can anyone older than 9 years old fall for that play? My son's travel ball team ran it a lot when they were 10....and it worked at least half the time. A local HS team tried it against us, with my son on 2nd base his junior year. He stood on 2nd base laughing so hard I thought our coach may have to go out and help him. The other team looked almost embarassed for having tried it lol. That being said, we had several guys on our team that it would have likely worked against had they been on 2nd instead of my kid
