Baseball also has a version of "The Book" for game strategy. Like never making the 1st or 3rd out at third base. If you like baseball and you like numbers, "The Book: Playing The Percentages In Baseball " (Tango, Lichtman and Dolphin) is a fun read. It also helps explain how baseball evolved to the current style of play.
