Words of wisdom I have heard and used much are "Pitch every batter like you're just starting the game." Of course know there's runners on and the aspects of holding runners on, etc., but Randy Johnson said that he pitches every better like he was the first becasue it gets his mind off the past batter. It's helped me when I get frusturated.
