I totally agree, it will take time. He's got a lot of fat to trim off that roster (Soriano, Zambrano to start) but I'll bet he gets creative with them and makes something happen (though he will have to move them for next to nothing in return). Remember, he sent Garciaparra packing. Long term, I think things will work out very nicely for the Cubs.
