My son (a junior) sent out intro letters a week or two ago. Yesterday the coach he's been taking lessons from and done camps with since he was 7 told him that two New England DIII's had phoned him inquiring about my son. His high school coach has said no such thing. I'm thinking it may be because his private lessons coach has DI coaching experience on his resume that he has been contacted and the HS coach hasn't. Or the HS coach has and he hasn't said anything. Either way we're grateful to see SOMETHING happening. Should we expect these schools to be calling my son soon? I'm reasonably sure they got no negative feedback from the coach they talked to. Should my son call them, knowing that they've shown some interest? Can someone tell me how to get this grin off my son's face? I think he was seriously thinking nothing would come from these intro letters, and it's still early in the process.
