Why would you hold a child back who excels academically for a sport? There r no guarantees, he could have a sports injury his Freshmen year(whenever that is) and not play again. If your son has skills and works hard he can succeed on some level. Fun that he already has a college chosen, but he is 14. There needs to be a plan B.
