transfer portal 2,604 (various reason, including NIL governance state level)
mlb draft 20 rounds

2023 Season(???) - 305 teams

Roster limit (35 - 40)
- major caveats
  - (student-athletes beyond 35 (must have lost covid season (2020)
  - counter 27 - 32 (anyone in 28-32 range (lost covid season) e.g. Super Seniors
    - Players who count as extra roster spots and counters would count against a team’s 11.7 and would be required to have 25 percent of a scholarship.
