Salt, Im kinda like you in wondering why this is such a taboo subject. I understand most all the longtime members have older kids but this is a highschool website, not a senior/junior only website.

I could totally be out of place, but if I am just set me straight, maybe there is a good reason not to talk about freshman, that I don't know about. This topic was brought up a little while ago and just swept under the table, just don't understand why.
