Feel free to PM me. My son graduated this past December; he played baseball for 4-years.

The school is academically very rigorous. The baseball program is a top 20 D3 program. Over the past 6-years; three players have been drafted (two position, one pitcher) a forth (a pitcher) signed as a free agent.

As a D3 program they can not offer tutors directly to athletes. However, most all classes have assigned tutor/mentors for those that need and request extra help.

The facilities are OK. The field is in the middle of campus, adjacent to the athletic center. The baseball team shares the locker room with the football team (opposite schedules). The weight room is OK and is used by all the teams.

The nutrition and weight program is run by one of the assistants that was drafted and played a couple of years of proball. My son thought highly of the training program and how it was run.

The school is in central San Antonio. It has the surrounded by one of the older, nicer and very expensive (by San Antonio standards) residential communities. It is across the freeway from Alamo Heights (very upscale) and one exit on the freeway from the Quarry Market Center (shopping center with everything they will ever need as students - Restraunts, Movies, Shopping).

From listening to parents for 5-years; I always believed that the school was in a safe area. The kids are required to live on campus for their first 3-years. The dorms are VERY nice and the campus is quite pretty.

My son was also from NorCal and he loves San Antonio. He found it very easy to adjust to and has chosen to live there after graduation. The big plus is that the cost of living versus northern California is very favorable. Also, getting him back an forth is also very easy as the school is a $10 cab ride to the airport(when they can't get a ride from friends) from campus.
