I don't remember tryouts in SE PA not being outside. One year it had to be in the parking lot. The field was under water.

you are out of the loop my friend, the last 3 years have been terrible here. Last spring our first day on grass was the first game of the season...which was postponed by one full week.

I know last year was terrible. It was terrible everywhere in the northeast. I moved when my son graduated from high school. I live in Boston now. Last year was brutal.

Imagine being a high school coach who has to deal with playing in a public park. That's enough to deal with. Then imagine the town used the field as a dumping ground for a winter of 108 inches of snow. They had to find a new home field.

There were teams playing five or six games the last week of the season to finish their seasons. I only attended a couple of  high school games. But I heard the quality of play the last week was brutal. Most high school teams don't have 8-10 quality pitchers.
