I'm sure the campus is relatively safe, with well-behaved college students and armed security. The rest of the town is literally a disaster area populated by criminals being chased by crooked incompetent cops, imo. You need to speak with baseballmom. Mrs. Claiborne can fill you in on her sons first hand experience, which hopefully is, and remains, extremely positive. Tulane is recovering. However, NOLA is not a normal college town, where a kid can stumble around at night feeling safe. It is a bad place, simply put in my opinion.
