Texan,
I'm from SA. lived down the street from St. Mary's Univ, Cincinnatti Ave, Woodlawn Ave,... went to Madison Elem, then Howard Elem in Alamo Heights, too. My mom & a niece are still in SA (North of 410).
Trinity & Tulane could both be considered "inner city", being only a couple miles from downtown. Both are located in historical, older areas. Tulane is adjacent to the Garden District. Trinity, to Olmos. Trinity has Breckenridge Park & SA Zoo within a mile or so and I would definately not be there after dark! Tulane has Audubon Park across the street. The team ran there at 5 am 3 days a week...no incidents...
I never said Trinity was in a "bad" area...I did say, "bordered", ie. Breckenridge, parts of Alamo Heights...
Agree about U of H, but the college is very good! We have friends whose sons' are there playing baeball! I was very impressed with Coach Raynor Noble & Coach Blount.
How 'bout we get back to topic?
Tulane is a fine school with a great baseball program!
