... my 12YO son - who doesn't throw very hard (5'0, 110 lbs), pitched a complete game win today, making heavy use of his changeup. He understands that throwing it w/ the same motion is plenty slow enough to get the desired result (swing/miss or weak hit). He knows WHEN to throw it and HOW. And he's pitched several 4-6 inning outings this year vs. the best teams in our league and he's kept some of the best hitting teams in the league off-balance."Good pitchers upset hitters' timing."
