Reply to "UNC Pembrook"

Know a few players who are freshman there this season. UNC-P benefits by being part of the UNC system, but is the smallest member of the clan and the only D2 in the system.

NC has 17 D1 programs and many top notch D2 programs with national reputations so the startup on this program has been difficult in terms of recruiting. The looked like they were turning the corner and then they lost their recruiting coordinator who is taking over the reins as the Head Coach at Randolph-Macon in Virginia.

They were an NAIA program up until the 90's when they started the climb in the NCAA. They joined the Peach Belt Conference in 1992.

They just added a new assistant coach who will help out with recruiting. It isn't near any population centers so that hurts a bit in their efforts. They are a middle of the pack team in the Peach Belt conference, but the Peach Belt has some very strong teams, so they look to be competitive.

Overall, the baseball program is good and the education is good. You will need a campus visit to see if it's a good fit for you.
