University of Arkansas / Fayetteville? (not baseball)

This is kind of an odd coincidence. In December I was asked to add Arkansas to the Southeast Forum.

Now in February, my younger son surprised us by announcing he might want to transfer to University of Arkansas / Fayetteville next fall. He is not a baseball player, but I wonder if any members have experience with this university?

My son visited some friends there over Christmas break and liked the campus, the location close to the Ozarks, and the warmer temps!

Any feedback on University of Arkansas / Fayetteville academics, atmosphere, etc.? (Of course he is checking out the academics aspect via the school website, but I'm just looking for personal experiences or observations.)
