I may be mistaken, but I think he's paid just as much as most NFL coaches. I seem to remember (but at my age, who knows

) that Coach Carroll is paid several million per year. As for ego, how many coaches have ever been on the verge of winning their third consecutive national championship? THAT should be a rather sufficient ego boost, don't you think?

I understand what you're saying about NFL coaching, but I think he'd be nuts to give up one of the best coaching jobs in the nation, in any sport at any level, to go back to the NFL.
