Reply to "Video Example"

We have a great relationship with NCSA & their list of video angles is a good one. Remember to show the pitcher's body, mechanics, and a few angles that includes a closeup.

Skillshow also professionally edits home videos & we post them on Skillshow.com & BaseballWebTV & send to NCSA, if they are clients of theirs too. Very often we get footage from parents that is too far away from the subject so its hard to really see their mechanics.

Get a front view, a side view, & a view (back or front) that shows the carry of the ball to the catcher. Balls & strikes are not the most important, nor is throwing a full arsenal of different pitches. If you cannot throw a fastball or if you have poor mechanics in general, that will be the first thing a coach cares about. They can teach breaking balls & changeups at the next level. Its all about 'projectability', not how exact & hard you throw today. They know what they are looking for, so don't keep yourself a secret or delay getting video out becuase you can't get all the exact angles.

Good luck! If we can ever help, call us at Skillshow.
