USMA82 hit the nail on the head, his description is a good one. There are some minor changes to his itenary that my son has in front of him, but they all invole DUTY. However, to answer your question, all four summers are loaded up. There is some time to work out, especially after your first year. This year my son was assigned to a group with most of the baseball players. This made the summer session go well. I am not sure if this is policy or coach's idea...but it was a good one.
I have not heard of anyone being permitted to go to a summer team and playing. I believe the most that happens is captain run practices if any...very informal.
As USMA82 said...baseball is and should the third reason to be there. USMA will give a young man or women everything you can think of...but for that there is a mandatory committment after your second year.
However, USMA82..until the season starts,,,, I'm thinking Omaha all the way!!!
