Where you fall is dependant upon the given definitions of conservative, liberal, etc.
The problem with those definitions, is that they are constrained only to the present timeframe. If we were to go back 20 years, when many of our political leanings were formed, there would be quite different definitions. So, any particular question in todays quiz, could have been relegated to a completely different category than it is today.
So when someone calls themselves a conservative today, it may mean that they are in favor of less government control, but still support government action to promote equality, as was the favor of the 1970's and 80's.
Just 10 years ago, to be called a conservative conjured up images of Billy Graham, Rush Limbaugh, and issues as far to the right extreme as possible.
These tags we try and put on our ideals are like ethics, the bar constantly moves to fit the argument and societal feel de jour.
