Did the cops keep a straight face when interviewing "witnesses" after they figured out what was really going on?

I saw it as a bang bang play. Plus the runner is the most well behaved kid on the team. This happened in the first inning and things were pretty tense for a while. When the cops showed up, some on the other team seemed embarrassed and the opposing coach became apologetic.

The cop was very professional and very serious.

I'm told there are assault charges pending.
